Hong Kong in the 1950s

Nelson Trethewey (1912-89) worked for the British Government in Hong Kong from 1951-1954. This is the collection of photographs he made during his period of service. He did not take the photographs and does not appear in them. He made a few notes to accompany them, but most are unidentified. Anyone with information to contribute to this valuable archive is invited to contact the editor.
